Money donations

SOS Children’s Villages Albania is an organization that exists thanks to donations. Together we can make our society more beautiful by supporting children without parental care. Donations in money will be spent to ensure the well-nutrition, clothing, hygiene products, educational materials, for the children under our care, as well as to cover their medical expenses. But most importantly, these children and young people will have the love, security and warmth of the SOS family.

YEEP Youth empowerment enabling prospects

Project description:  Regional project, intended to improve employment prospects and active participation in the labour market of 1,600 vulnerable youth in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia.

Project duration: 39 months (August 2019 – December 2022)

Development of CSOs for Foster Care in Albania

Project description:  By the end of 2020 local CSOs, raise the public awareness to increase the community collaboration and involvement as foster families in Durres, Tirana, Korca regions. Intended practice improvement of foster care development by increase the competences of social staff and key stakeholders for professional response and involvement. Nine local organizations that benefited from the sub-granting scheme in the project, contributed to raise awareness in the community and to establish 40 foster families in Tirana, Durres and Korca regions.

Youth employability in Shkodra

Project description:  At the end of the project, 39 unemployed young people aged 19-34 which live in marginalized areas of Shkoder, among which 60% of participants are female, 30% are youth returned from emigration, will increase their social capital capacities to become change agents in their communities by breaking the cycle of unemployment, social exclusion, poverty and emigration.

Now What? Preparing and empowering youth leaving care

Project description:  The project aims the development and delivery of an integrated approach in dealing with the preparedness of care leavers, to face the challenges of living an independent life. More than 115 young people without parental care benefited and were involved directly in project implementation, 40 co-workers (trainers, mentors, caregivers, case managers, youth leaders) are engaged in project implementation to achieve intellectual outputs and to support young people.

Power for Youth Leaving Care

Project description:  The main goal of the project is to boost the competences of youth leaving care to ensure their inclusion in the society and provide guidance, capacities, promising implemented methodologies to professionals working with them so that they have the right skills on preparing young people leaving care.

Social inclusion and economic empowerment of vulnerable families in Tirana city outskirts

Project description:  The overall objective is to contribute in overcoming social exclusion and economic unsustainability of socially and economically disadvantaged young people and families at risk in Tirana City. 300 youth and parents of families at risk from Sanatorium and Collak, Tirana Municipality, benefited from increased opportunities for labour market integration.
