This work is guided by the UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children and is in the framework of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. <br \/><br \/>We advocate for measures to prevent the loss of parental care. We also support the development and implementation of alternative care quality standards and demand continuous monitoring of these standards. This includes appropriate support for gatekeeping, reintegration, social workforce development and the leaving care process. style=\"display:none\"><div class=\"card-body\"><p>The goal of \u201cI matter\u201d campaign was extension of leaving care age from 14 to 18 for children without parental care, in public institutions. Since on 2014, young people used to leave residential care at the age of 14th, it was \u201cI Matter\u201d the first advocacy campaign implemented by SOS CV AL, which brought improvement in existing policies and practices by influencing policy makers to change and to increase the age of leaving care till on 18th. So young people of age 14 to 18 are protected by adequate policies and practices.<br \/><br \/><strong>Other IPD projects that supported \u201cI Matter\u201d campaign:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>\u201cPeer Research\u201d funded by European Commission, implemented in 2011 \u2013 2012<\/li><li>\u201cImproving Life Skills\u201d funded by Youth in Action program of EC Brussels on 2013<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n            <\/div><div class=\"card-wrapper \">\n                <div class=\"card-header\">\n                    <a href=\"#expand-d8f3473\" class=\"card-header-button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-target=\"#expand-d8f3473\" aria-controls=\"expand-d8f3473\">\n                        <span class=\"title\">\u201cCare for Me\u201d 2014 \u2013 2016<\/span><div class=\"right-icon-group\">\n                <div class=\"normal-icon\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/div>\n                <div class=\"active-icon\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i><\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                    <\/a>\n                <\/div>\n                <div class=\"card-expand\" id=\"expand-d8f3473\" style=\"display:none\"><div class=\"card-body\">The goal of \u201cCare for Me\u201d campaign was to contribute to the development of diverse family-based care and professional foster care services for the best interest of the children in care as part of the childcare reform in country. Through \u201cCare for me\u201d stakeholders and duty bearers were appropriately informed and have increased their knowledge on issues of quality care for the best interest of children without parental care. Supported by appropriate policies, positive experiences of Foster Care were created and piloted in the country.\n\nOther IPD projects that supported \u201cCare for Me\u201d campaign:\n\n\u201cYouth Voice in UN Days\u201d one-year projects in cooperation with \u201cYouth Voice\u201d Network supported by UNFPA, implemented on 2014 - 2017\n\nFollow up of \u201cCare for Me\u201d campaign through, \u201cCSOs for Foster Care\u201d three years project funded by EU delegation in Albania, implemented on 2018 - 2021<\/div><\/div>\n            <\/div><div class=\"card-wrapper expand\">\n                <div class=\"card-header\">\n                    <a href=\"#expand-a1dcd8a\" class=\"card-header-button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-target=\"#expand-a1dcd8a\" aria-controls=\"expand-a1dcd8a\">\n                        <span class=\"title\">\u201cAdvocacy Now\u201d 2017 \u2013 2023<\/span><div class=\"right-icon-group\">\n                <div class=\"normal-icon\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/div>\n                <div class=\"active-icon\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i><\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                    <\/a>\n                <\/div>\n                <div class=\"card-expand\" id=\"expand-a1dcd8a\" style=\"display:block\"><div class=\"card-body\">The goal of \u201cAdvocacy Now\u201d campaign is to contribute to change the Law \u201cOn the Orphan Status\u201d, to offer quality services for young people and after care services related to housing, health care, psychosocial support, education and employability. Two main pillars are after care service provisions for young people and lobby for reintegration policies and procedures for children and young people in alternative care.\n\nThe campaign has increased the capacities of young people and involved them in advocacy for their rights.
